The Leica SL2 will always be a niche camera sold in small numbers to connoisseurs and a certain type of discerning pro. It incorporates a level of design and thought that is actually rather inspiring. The SL2 is an update to the original Leica SL camera launched in 2015. Its performance is excellent, as you’d expect, but its design and interface are practically in a class of their own.
The Leica SL2 can record 5K (4992×3744) video with 10-bit color, as well as Cinema 4K (4096×2160) and UHD 4K (3840×2160) video up to 60fps. It supports Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) Photo Style mode and the L-Log gamma profile can be used to expand highlight and shadow details and offer greater flexibility when color grading.
