The Samsung Odyssey G7 is one of the few displays that use a 1440p resolution (or 2K as it’s sometimes dubbed) with a somewhat faster refresh rate between 144-160Hz, but the Samsung Odyssey G7 manages to crank that up to a blistering 240Hz. That sharp curve is incredible for a wrap-around view which makes you feel like you’re being dragged into the games you’re playing, especially in low-light environments.
Getting the most out of your Samsung display requires some understanding of how to use it. That’s where having the owner’s manual comes in handy. With proper usage, there is less risk of damage, and you’ll learn how to get the most out of it.
For safe and optimum performance, the Odyssey G7 must be used properly. Carefully read and follow all instructions and guidelines in this manual and give special attention to the CAUTION and WARNING statements. Misuse may result in damage to the unit and/or cause harm or serious injury.
|240Hz refresh at 1440p||Needs some calibration before use|
|G-Sync and FreeSync||No USB-C|
|Impressive VA Panel||Awkward assembly|
The Odyssey G7 is a great overall monitor. It has amazing gaming performance because of its 240Hz refresh rate, outstanding response time, and FreeSync support. It’s a good choice for content creators or for watching movies as it can display deep blacks. With a 1440p or 2K display, the Odyssey G7 is an impressive gaming monitor, but it may not be enough for everyone.
